The My Australian Defence Exports (MADE) portal should be used to:
Australian residents can access the MADE portal via ServiceConnect, using the Australian Government Digital ID System, such as myID.
Anyone who is not eligible for an Australian Government Digital ID can access the MADE portal through a direct login.
Before submitting any application with Defence, applicants must register and receive a DCRN. This allows Defence to record relevant organisation and contact information for each applicant.
Registrations should be made in the name of the entity that will declare they are exporting to the Australian Border Force (ABF). For example,
When registering contacts for a company or government entity, each contact must have their own individual email address.
It is important to keep Defence informed of any changes to the registration details, as these are used when requesting additional information and issuing a permit. Client registration details can be updated within MADE.
Registering with Defence also requires either a valid Australian Business Number (ABN), or Cargo Client ID (CCID) issued by the ABF. More information on obtaining a CCID can be found at the ABF website.
Any information provided to Defence is handled in accordance with Defence Privacy Policy. Relevant privacy notices are also available on the MADE portal and registration/application forms.
