Species on the Edge is a collaboration of eight conservation organisations, working with communities across Scotland’s coasts and islands to save our rarest and most vulnerable species from extinction.
Species on the Edge is a ground-breaking partnership programme of NatureScot and seven nature conservation charities, all dedicated to protecting 37 of Scotland’s rarest and most vulnerable coastal and island Species.
Funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Species on the Edge is taking a uniquely collaborative approach to conservation in Scotland, bringing together expertise and resources from across the conservation sector to tackle biodiversity loss.
We are working hand-in-hand with communities and land owners across Scotland, taking action that benefits the people, flora, and fauna that call our coasts and islands home.
We are taking action for 37 of Scotland’s rarest and most vulnerable coastal species.
