Ever since our founding by the brothers Clemens and August in 1841, C&A has been at the forefront of fashion. From making 'ready-to-wear' a thing when custom-made was the norm, to popularising miniskirts in the 60s, introducing the Com-bi-kini in the 70s, Bio Cotton in early 2000 and the first Cradle-to-Cradle Gold certified garment (www.c-a.com/c2c) in 2017 - we have always evolved with the times, making stylish and quality clothes possible for everyone. And while C&A and the world around us has changed over the decades, one thing has remained the same: our dedication to offering sustainable and quality fashion for the entire family.     🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 We are thrilled to announce that C&A has been awarded the RFID Journal Awards 2025 for Best Retail Implementation! 🎉 Our ambitious RFID deployment, in collaboration with Checkpoint Systems, has set a new gold standard in the retail industry. It has enhanced inventory accuracy, enabled faster shelf replenishment, and improved overall customer experience. With many products in 1,300+ stores across 17 countries, this project has transformed our operations and elevated our supply chain efficiency. Hans Peter Scheidt, Delivery Lead Tech - Merchandise Visibility at C&A shared his thoughts on this project: "The RFID implementation has revolutionized our inventory management, providing real-time visibility and significantly improving operational efficiency. Even with this special material, we stay true to our focus on high-quality pieces at an affordable price. Watch out for the pieces made of Certified European Flax Linen, which is grown in Western Europe (France, Belgium, and the Netherlands). The farmers are committed to no irrigation and no use of genetically modified seeds.     🚀 These six apprentices just became the leaders of our C&A store in Hamburg Meile. Why? With our Future Leader Program, a training specifically tailored for apprentices in their first and second year, our young talents get the unique opportunity to lead one store as a team for six months. The concept is simple, but with great effect. It builds on self-organization and thus allows creative solutions beyond conventional boundaries. “The speed of development and learning in this program is amazing. Within no time, the young colleagues develop new skills. They are becoming a strong team and driving success together,” explains Jule Wohlers, HR Business Partner. 🚀 Fostering young talents When things get tricky, the Future Leaders find support from Store Leader Beate Dellinger and Group Store Lead Mark Paul Kenter-Timmer. He explains: “We want to nurture and challenge our young talents. We are proud that we can offer such a unique project which forms a strong basis for making them fit for the future. Of course, we keep an eye on the group but allow them to have their own experiences. If they need us, we are there any time.” On top of that, the group of four receives coaching and training from Maria Kouch and Rhonda Bortey to further develop their skills. 🚀 We love togetherness! Our Future Leader Program is a true team experience. We not only bring together a lot of experts and experience to support the young talents in their daily work. Alessia Moscato, Christina Thomadaki, Melina Gogol, Leah Alina Stein, Lea Blanke and Julia Marquardt also live together in an apartment near the Hamburg Meile store to make memories for a lifetime together. To get a better understanding, we have our very own CIA at C&A – the Consumer Insights & Analytics team! 🕵️♂️🎯 “Our team provides the entire company with valuable insights to really understand our customers: How they perceive the C&A brand, our collections, our campaigns and our store environment, just to name a few. We run a variety of surveys and analyses to get their feedback, from listening in to working with advanced AI models. And to anticipate what’s coming, we pro-actively analyze trends and market developments”, explains Gina De Ryck, Head of Consumer Insights & Analytics at C&A. These insights flow into the strategic plans and put the voice of the customer at the heart of decision making. This way we can maximize the value for our customers, all based on their ever-changing needs & requirements. “My team and I promise to keep on listening to you!”, summarizes Gina.
