Procedure

For children between 2 and 11 years old, use the CHD passenger type code.
For infants up to 2 years old, use the INF passenger type code.

• To enter a child's name, enter, for example:
  NM1SIMPSON/MAGGIE(CHD/02JAN24)

  Entry	Description
  NM1SIMPSON	Name transaction code, followed by the number of passengers and passenger last name
  MAGGIE(CHD/02JAN24)	Child's first name, open parenthesis, child's passenger type code, slash, child's date of birth DDMMMYY, close parenthesis

• To enter one adult and one child with the same last name, enter, for example:
  NM2JONES/TOM MR/CANDY(CHD/05APR24)

  Entry	Description
  NM2JONES	Name transaction code, followed by the number of passengers and passenger last name
  /TOM MR	Slash (/), followed by the adult's first name and title
  /CANDY(CHD/05APR24)	Slash (/), followed by the child's first name, open parenthesis, child's passenger type code, slash, child's date of birth DDMMMYY, close parenthesis

• If the child has a different last name, you can enter the names separately or with a single entry. For example, enter: 
  NM1JONES/TOM MR 1SIMPSON/MAGGIE(CHD/02JAN24)

  Note: When you enter the CHD passenger type code, an SSR element is generated to inform the airline that the passenger is a child.



• To create a manual SSR for the child, enter, for example:
  SRCHLD-02JAN24/P2




• To enter an infant with a seat (INS), enter, for example:
  NM1JONES/JANE(INS)
  
  When you enter the name of an infant with a seat, add an SRINFT with the date of birth. Enter, for example:

• To enter an infant not occupying a seat, associated to an adult, enter, for example:

• If the infant has a different last name, enter the last name after the INF passenger type code. For example, enter:

• To add the name of an infant to an adult passenger with a different last name, enter, for example:

• To add an infant to an adult with the same last name, enter, for example:
  1/(INF/KEVIN/20FEB24)
