Not everyone is convinced by what you're doing. What we're trying to do with our clients where they're looking at natural capital as a project and a new income stream and a new opportunity, it's all difficult. So we're all trying to make the same progress. Well, if we keep it to ourselves, progress is going to be hard. We're constantly all reinventing the wheel. So if we can share a bit and help each other along the way, that's that's got to be good for everybody and everything. So is that a key thing you hope to achieve with the podcast, that the sharing of the information in the sector? I think part of that and also broadening. The reach and the message and the learnings and experiences to others who come on the pod will be able to share.
Integrity of the carbon projects is being discussed since day One, I have reports dating back to 2008 in my archive. But, do we check the integrity of other stakeholders? A low carbon unit price would make you keep polluting as you would pay a low fee, only if you pay some significant offset fees that you would consider reducing your carbon footprint. This podcast is a must to watch.

Can you build a low-carbon basement?
On this low-carbon retrofit project, Allt Environmental wasn't particularly keen to take on a basement because of the obvious embodied carbon issues, but on the positive side:
"It was also a chance to prove fairly conclusively that you can't do low carbon basements"
A willing and enthusiastic client offered Natalie Black and Toby McLean a chance to experiment and see what was possible under these circumstances.
Thanks to the willingness of their guinea pig they're both now able to speak from a position of authority about what can be achieved and take these lessons forward in their work.
And, obviously, they've shared them with us on the podcast too.
