Lucideon and NCC have forged a closer collaboration to develop advanced ceramic composites solutions to meet a growing market demand for materials that survive in ever harsher environments.
Early career engineers at NCC developed an optimised seat for GB Canoeist Emma Wiggs that is lighter, and five times stiffer. Using digital tools, including embedded sensor technology, the team designed and manufactured the seat reducing material in low-stress areas and increasing critical support where needed.
Working with Leonardo, we've designed a custom immersive workbench to improve workforce skills & cut traditional training times. The immersive system was developed under our Capability Development programme, and improves manufactured part quality with real-time verification, thereby reducing defects & waste.
