Yesterday ,on the way to Microsoft UK #MCAPS kick off🇬🇧, I met this incredible guy of Square Mile Farms who was harvesting the MOST amazing basil as one of the 35 crops he looks after with the building. A perfect balance of innovation, impact and sustainability in action 🌿 🌍 ❤️ Compelled me to share! 🙌🏻

We're proud to share that most of the produce served at the Orangery Restaurant is grown just metres away - a testament to what's possible with hyper-local, sustainable farming. And when the produce from the farm doesn’t go to the kitchens, it’s collected by the employees, who enjoy the same fresh, nutritious greens. 🌱 Why Was Square Mile Farms Created? It wasn’t about tech. It wasn’t about trends. It was about something deeper: our broken food system, and the growing disconnect between people and their food. We were surrounded by concrete and glass, eating quick lunches made from ingredients with more air miles than nutrients, and all around us were empty spaces with untapped potential. So we asked ourselves a question: What if we could grow food right in the heart of cities? That question sparked the birth of Square Mile Farms.
