X-ray Computed Tomography (XCT) is reshaping how manufacturers observe and analyse components. From miniaturised features to complex multi-material designs, the inside matters more than ever. For complex high-performance manufacturing, XCT is becoming a critical non-destructive tool for internal validation and dimensional accuracy. At our latest Manufacture Measurement Network event, we partnered with the experts at the National Facility for XCT (NXCT) and STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory to explore how XCT is accelerating precision, reliability and innovation across UK manufacturing. It's a big day for molecular industry! #NPL collaborated with Thermo Fisher Scientific, IONTOF AstraZeneca, The Francis Crick Institute, Imperial College London and together they published a new study showing important findings regarding the noise structure of Orbitrap mass spectrometers using an #OrbiSIMS. The findings of the study are beneficial for various applications in biological research and healthcare.
