This year, the British Antarctic Survey uncovered four new emperor penguin colonies, bringing the total number of groups to 66. Their second discovery in five years, recording around 20 more colonies, was inspired by the work of young researchers from Stirling High School. When given the opportunity, young people can do great things! IRIS is working to change education so that every young person has the opportunity to do real research.
