Tongwei Solar, located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in southwestern China, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tongwei Co., Ltd.. Since entering the photovoltaic (PV) market in 2006, Tongwei has grown into a fully integrated PV enterprise, covering the entire PV industry chain, including high-purity polysilicon and wafers, high-efficiency solar cells and PV modules, and PV power plant operations. Notably, Tongwei is the first PV company listed in the Fortune Global 500. Tongwei is renowned for its global leadership in the polysilicon sector, with a capacity of over 850,000 tons, making it the world's largest supplier. It has also maintained the top spot in global solar cell shipments for seven consecutive years, with a current capacity of 140+ GW. On the technology side, Tongwei stands out with the industry's first 210 PECVD poly pilot line and the world's first Industry 4.0 high-efficiency cell production line.
