We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

Story

To promote the Armed Forces Covenant and our support for the Armed Forces as a whole we have a few activities lined up the week beginning Monday 24th June 2024.

This Armed Forces Week, we are supporting the Army Benevolent Fund which is the national charity of the British Army. Since 1944, it has provided a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans, and their immediate families when they are in need. Last year, the charity supported 70,000 people in 45 countries around the world. It is also important to recognise that this year marks the 80th anniversary of D Day. To achieve what is the largest seaborne invasion in history, our brave soldiers landed in Normandy to start the invasion to take back Europe from Nazi Germany. This was the biggest turning point in the war and if it were not for our soldiers, we may not recognise Britain as we do today.

The activities include:

1. Bake sale;

2. Rounder competition;

3. Lunch and Learn session;

4. Euros sweepstake;

The Euros sweepstake is not taking place during this week and will take place prior to Armed Forces week.

Ellis Jones are going to match our donations to the total raised (up to £250).

Thank you!
