Last week, the SLT at Native Communities gathered at Station Hill for a transformative two days, with key leaders from across the business taking time away from the everyday to focus on how we perform as a highly effective team, how we collaborate and how we continue to drive the business forward. The biggest takeaway? The importance of curiosity. Asking questions, checking perspectives, challenging viewpoints and staying open to new ways of doing things to fuel our next chapter. We’re committed to building a future-focused, people-driven culture, where each of us leads by example in our industry and supports each other in meaningful ways. A huge thank you to Simon Crampton Leading-Edge-Performance for guiding us on this adventure!

The Castings turned 1 in July and what an incredible year it's been 🎉 and boy do we celebrate in style. The on site team have created a community that I could not be more proud of, the hard work my team put in on a daily basis is no less than outstanding. It would not be possible without the dedication they show me, Native and most importantly our residents. This is what it is all about. Thank you to my INCREDIBLE team for making my life a lot easier. Being The Castings Community Manager has been a dream. Roshni S. Dean Strudwick Christopher Stevens Denzel Arubayi Ste Curley Nick Elms ❤️🎉🙏🎯

It's shaping up to be another fantastic summer at Kampus! With the return of KampusFest for the third year running, we saw over 3,000 attendees across the Glastonbury weekend. The Native team at Kampus collaborated with Nell’s, Rainy Heart, Untold Orchestra, Black Milk and Born to be Wild Child to bring a three-day festival to the neighbourhood, including a live stream of the headline sets from Glastonbury as well as an outdoor margarita bar, face paint, hair tinsel and a pop-up market. In August, we're looking forward to The Beeswing's Rose Festival and to our August Bank Holiday extravaganza raising money for local LGBTQIA+ charities. This is the kind of placemaking that Kampus has become known for and is made possible not only by our fantastic commercial tenants, but also the local independent businesses who join us for events and the support of the wider community. A landmark launch for a landmark destination. Native’s mixed-use team delivered the official launch of Station Hill - and Reading showed up! On behalf of Lincoln Property Company and MGT Investment Management, Native deployed its full-service capability to activate Station Hill at scale, with over 7,500 attendees across the day. As the gateway to Reading, Station Hill demanded a community-first approach: over 30 local vendors and partners, 20 live performers, and curated programming with grassroots groups helped deliver a truly multi-generational event. From placemaking to programming, residential and events, facilities to marketing, congratulations to the team for launching an exceptional destination with momentum and meaning.

Mental Health Awareness Week 🧠🍏 The Corkfield team wore green today in solidarity with Mental health awareness week. It’s an ever expanding topic which affects all of us in one way or another, so it’s great to be able to highlight mental health and develop the support that we can provide to our teams and each other. In light in this, we also held an open session at site for our team to talk through any and all topics that they’re comfortable with which was incredibly useful and insightful. For us, this isn’t just a day or wearing green, it isn’t just a week of thoughtfulness, this has to be a constant in our day to day to support each other and further promote our own mental health development. So proud of this team 💚 James Bell Reah Gibson Wesley Williams Alexandra Enea Native Communities

Introducing... our new Manchester HQ! 🌟 One of our core values at Native is 'In It Together', fostering strong relationships and collaboration. As such, to accommodate the growing head office team based in Manchester and reflecting our move back to a predominantly office based working culture which allows those relationships to thrive, we’ve moved to a significantly larger, higher quality office in Central Manchester. Our new space is triple the size of our previous office, housing our central operations, facilities, finance, IT, marketing and people teams, and was chosen to allow for more collaboration and a greater employee experience. We look forward to welcoming our clients and partners in due course, but here's a sneak peek in the meantime...

Guy Nixon will be discussing how rental living is reshaping our cities at ALT/RESI today alongside industry leaders Danielle Bayless (Quintain Living ) and Johnny Caddick (Moda Living), chaired by Damien Sharkey (HUB Living). They'll be diving into: >> The rise of resi-led regeneration >> BTR as the catalyst in mixed-use schemes >> Why 99% of the public still doesn’t know what BTR stands for — and what we can do about it As an operator of large BTR-led communities, we’ve played our part in supporting the transformation of Reading’s Station Hill to the resurgence of central Manchester. We're firm believers that the right mix of rental, retail, office and public realm can breathe life into city centres. We're looking forward to seeing many of you there.
